Changes

Life brings new changes everyday.  I remember a time when change was scary.  Any change had the power to stop me in my tracks and leave me frozen in fear.  Sometimes it still does.  These days, more often than not, I find change exhilarating.

The biggest change of my life came recently with the birth of my twins.  Nothing can prepare you for a child entering your life.  People tell you it will never be the same but you can't know until you look into those beautiful eyes at 3 am exhausted from lack of sleep and you get a smile of recognition.  The smile that says thank you for coming because I called.

Cutie_pies_jan_22_2008 Aria & Zachary have brought so much joy to our lives it is hard to imagine what life was like before sleep deprivation and the constant needs of other beings.  There is no time for self-care.  Time alone becomes non-existent.  But still I wouldn't give up one moment of this experience.

Now for someone who once feared change, life continues to bring more.  We are moving from our long time home to another state.  This move will provide us with an incomparable community to raise our children in.  They will grow up amidst like-minded people.  The opportunities for culture and stimulation will expand their horizons beyond anything we can find in our current community (no offense Syracuse).

Change now brings so much exhilaration to my life.  I look forward to it.  Search it out even.  It is a chance to open myself up to the wonders the universe has to offer.  Its the option to grow and see life with new eyes that can never be shut again.

Life only gives you one go around.  My unsolicited advice...look for some change today.  It doesn't have to be life changing but even taking a different route today could give you a whole new perspective.

Peace
